ski

It is not compulsory to wear a helmet when skiing, but it is strongly recommended for both beginners and expert skiers. Skiing helmets have special characteristics, as they must protect you from obstacles such as rocks, trees, ice, and even other skiers, while keeping your head extremely comfortable. As the properties of the materials change over time, especially with exposure to UV light, we recommend that you replace your helmet after 5 years. Thanks to several adjustable vents on the top, our helmets offer the possibility to adjust the desired amount of air to evacuate hot air and perspiration. A ski helmet consists of two parts: an outer shell and an inner lining. The outer shell is rigid and acts as a first barrier. The COOLMAX inner liner contains specially designed polyester filters to improve breathability. It attracts moisture from the skin by capillary action and promotes its removal. We have 3 technologies for making a ski helmet: the classic ABS construction, the In-Mold construction and the H.E.S technology. ABS construction is a thermoplastic polymer known for its extreme strength and high impact absorption. The In-Mold construction of the ski helmets is based on the fusion of the polycarbonate shell with the inner lining. The result is a helmet that is both ultra-light and particularly impact resistant. The H.E.S technology (HYBRID EPS SYSTEM) construction we have developed is a new composite material consisting of a high impact absorption EPS polystyrene combined with a thin ABS outer shell. The result: increased safety, lightness and all-day comfort.

The ski helmet with integrated visor, these models have the advantage of having a good compromise between a ski mask and a ski helmet, guaranteeing optimal air circulation while maintaining style and comfort.

The size is an essential criterion for choosing a ski helmet, if it is too big or too small, the effectiveness of your helmet is reduced for this reason it is determined according to the size of your head. In order to measure it correctly, take a tape measure and place it at the widest point of the skull, about one centimeter above the eyebrow arch and above the ears.

You will then know your helmet size:

XS: 48-52

S : 53-55

M : 56-58

L : 59-61

XL: 61-64

If you feel pressure, the helmet is too small. If, on the other hand, the helmet falls easily on the eyes, it is too big.

If you are between two sizes, then choose the larger size. Our helmets are equipped with an adjustment wheel located at the back of the helmet, which allows precise micrometric adjustment of the size for optimal comfort and a perfect fit. Moreover, thanks to the M.B.S SYSTEM technology, the micro-buckle system ensures an ultra-precise and soft adjustment of the chinstrap for a perfect fit and maximum safety. (Complies with European standards)

Photochromic treatment is a process applied to the mass of glass that allows the material to react in response to external light intensity. This reaction causes the lens to darken or lighten in response to the brightness of the sun, thereby modifying the level of solar protection of the visor. This protection can generally vary between levels 1 and 3.

Polarised photochromic visors 2-4 offer a clear, sharp view of relief, even in very sunny conditions or at high altitudes, such as on a glacier.  These visors combine photochromic treatment with polarisation, offering extra protection against glare and improving contrast perception.

Photochromic treatment is particularly effective in everyday use, notably for its rapid brightening effect during transitions in shaded areas, such as undergrowth or at the end of cloudy days.

The only limit to photochromic printing is in conditions known as “white days”, where visibility is very poor. In such situations, we recommend using a category 1 yellow visor, which is still the most suitable for this type of weather.

If you have a Major, Louna 2, Gianny or Line helmet, you can choose between two types of photochromic technology: Polarised, UV protection category 2-4, and photochromic, category 1-3, available in several mirror colours (red, blue, pink, gold).

If you’re in any doubt, the arms of your visor must be straight, unlike those on the Arctik.

If you have an Artick helmet:

You can choose between 3 visors. 2 photochromic visors 1-3 Gold, with black or white temples, and a category 1 yellow visor. The arm of your visor forms a half-circle!

For Jozz 2, Mattis, Teen and Jozz 3 helmets:

To find the corresponding visors, the name of your helmet must be stated in the title of the visor.

You must choose a helmet adapted to your discipline and your practice.

Downhill: these are versatile helmets, equipped according to your expectations and your budget. (Adjustable ventilations, linings…)

Off-piste, freeride: these are lighter and well ventilated helmets.

Ski touring: ultra-light and very well ventilated helmets to avoid excessive perspiration.

Freestyle: these are reinforced helmets with a different design from the others.

Our technologies used:

ABS helmets consist of an outer shell made of ABS hard plastic and an EPS protective foam bonded to the inside. ABS helmets are known for their extreme strength and high shock absorption. It is the most widely used technology.

In-Mold helmets consist of a very thin plastic outer shell, which is molded directly onto the lower EPS foam. The result is a helmet that is both ultra-light and particularly impact resistant.

The hybrid construction combines ABS injection on the upper part of the helmet and In-Mold technology on the lower part. The result is a helmet that is safe, lightweight and comfortable all day long.

The helmet is an essential safety element and its use is widespread for all disciplines.

First of all, you have to choose your ski helmet according to your practice, downhill, freestyle, freeride… Our ski helmets are available in several ranges to meet the expectations of skiers depending on their discipline. Three constructions are available: ABS, In-Mold and H.E.S TECHNOLOGY. The ABS construction is a thermoplastic polymer known for its extreme resistance and high shock absorption capacity. The In-Mold construction is a technology based on the fusion of the polycarbonate shell with the inner lining. The result is a helmet that is both ultra-light and highly impact resistant. The H.E.S TECHNOLOGY (HYBRID EPS SYSTEM) construction, which we have developed, is a new composite material composed of a high impact absorption EPS polystyrene, combined with a thin ABS outer shell. The result: enhanced safety, light weight and all-day comfort. All our helmets are equipped with the extract air flow system technology, thanks to several adjustable vents on the upper part, our helmets offer the possibility to adjust the desired amount of air to evacuate warm air and perspiration. To wear your ski helmet properly, you need to make sure that it is the right size. If it is too big or too small, the effectiveness of your helmet is reduced, so it is determined according to your head size. When the helmet is the right size and fits your head perfectly, the adjustment system at the back of the helmet allows precise micrometric adjustment of the size for optimum comfort and a perfect fit.

Adjust the helmet so that it is positioned above the eyebrows. The back of the neck should be exposed to allow full mobility of the head. Thanks to the M.B.S. system, the micro-buckle system ensures an ultra-precise but gentle adjustment of the chinstrap for a perfect fit and maximum safety. (Complies with European standards)

If you’ve lost the centring ring or the retaining screw, a replacement kit is available in the accessories section. Here are the options available:

– Black or Silver Alu screw kit, designed specifically for the Major helmet but adaptable for our made in Italy helmets.

– Visor screw kit, suitable for Louna 2, Gianny, Arctik and Line helmets.

For Teen, Matis and Jozz helmets, the screw kit is supplied with the visor.

The answer is clearly yes! Never use a helmet that has suffered a serious impact or accident. The protective effect of the helmet can be severely impaired after a fall, even if no external damage is visible.

Ski helmets have very specific characteristics, as they must protect you from obstacles such as rocks, trees, ice and even other skiers.

rocks, trees, ice and even other skiers, while keeping your head in extreme comfort. There are two classifications of ski helmet complying with European standard EN 1077.

Class A ski helmets are defined by their full, solid coverage.
Class B ski helmets are defined by soft ears.

A ski helmet is made up of two parts: an outer shell and an inner lining. The outer shell is rigid and acts as the first barrier. As for the COOLMAX inner lining, the fabric contains polyester filters specially designed to improve breathability. It attracts moisture from the skin by capillary action and helps to eliminate it.

Each ski helmet is specialised in its construction: ABS, In-Mold, H.E.S Technology. ABS is a thermoplastic polymer renowned for its extreme strength and high shock absorption capacity. The In-Mold construction of ski helmets is based on the fusion of the polycarbonate shell with the inner lining. The result is a helmet that is both ultra-light and particularly impact-resistant. The H.E.S technology (HYBRID EPS SYSTEM) construction we have developed is a new composite material composed of a high impact absorption EPS polystyrene combined with a thin ABS outer shell. The result: enhanced safety, lightness and all-day comfort.

If you have the “MAGNET” technology, powerful magnets. Particularly easy to use and incredibly practical, the MAGNET goggles allow you to change the screen with one hand and very quickly, without any special tools. This is possible thanks to the 8 discreet and powerful magnets distributed around the periphery of the goggle, which allow you to change the screen without having to fix it with clips or screws.

If you have a helmet with a visor and you want to replace the visor, you just have to unscrew and then screw it back on.

To remove the visor, you must place it in the down position. Unscrew the screws from right to left. Remove the centering ring and the visor. Place the new visor in the closed position. Screw the visor back on by inserting the centering ring from left to right.

For white days, a ski goggle should be as clear as possible (category 1). The most interesting feature a ski google can have is photochromic technology, which combines your comfort, perfect clarity, lightness, shock resistance and anti-scratch and anti-fog treatment. Particularly versatile, the screen is tinted according to the intensity of UV, which allows you to have a unique ski goggle regardless of changing weather conditions and therefore to maintain precise visual acuity. In order to adapt to the luminosity and obtain better comfort and safety in all circumstances, the screen combines 3 major parameters: optical quality, speed of adaptation and high photochromic performance even at low temperatures. Thus, to be truly versatile, the technology adapts to weather conditions over outdoor temperature ranges from -10°C to +20°C.

For bad weather, a ski goggle lens should be as clear as possible (category 1). To adapt to the luminosity and obtain better comfort and safety in all circumstances, photochromic technology is the optical efficiency associated with your comfort, perfect clarity, lightness, resistance to shocks with an anti-scratch and anti-fog treatment. Versatile, this technology is tinted according to the intensity of UV and adapts to weather conditions over a range of outdoor temperatures from -10°C to +20°C, which allows you to have a ski goggle regardless of changes in weather conditions and therefore maintain accurate visual acuity. The transition from category 1 to category 3 is done in less than 30 seconds. This is one of the 3 major parameters of photochromy; speed of adaptation, optical quality and high photochromic performance (even at low and high temperatures).

To clean the outside of your goggle screen, always use a soft surface, such as a microfibre cloth. Wipe without rubbing the surface of the screen gently.

Be careful, the inside of the screen is treated with an anti-fogging agent. If it is covered with fog or snow, wipe it with fresh water and let it dry naturally in a dry place.

Using a damp cloth or even just wiping the inner lense will increase the risk of fogging afterwards. Do not position the goggles in heat sources.

The OTG (Over the Glasses) goggle is designed to be worn over eyeglasses due to its larger internal volume. The frame’s foam at the temples is cut to make room for the eyeglass temples. The triple density foam (3FOAM) protects the temples and prevents air from passing through.

The ski google is chosen according to the weather forecast, category 1 is for bad weather days while category 3 is for good weather days. The most interesting feature a ski google can have is photochromic technology. A screen that will vary its shade depending on the light.

A ski goggle protects your eyes against any aggression. It will allow you to enjoy optimal vision in all weathers. The most interesting feature of a ski goggle is the photochromic technology. A screen that varies its color according to the light.

For bad weather, a ski goggle should be as clear as possible (category 1) with orange, yellow or pink tinted glass. The most interesting feature a ski goggle can have is photochromic technology, which allows you to have a unique ski mask regardless of changing weather conditions.

To clean the helmet shell, use warm water and a mild soap solution.
Never use detergent or solvents. These products could damage it.

As the properties of materials change over time and in particular according to exposure to UV rays, we advise you to systematically replace your helmet after a lifespan of 5 years.

Bike

Wearing a bicycle helmet is not compulsory for adults and those over 12, but it is strongly recommended for use in town. Although there are more and more facilities for cyclists, cycling on a daily basis in the city can be dangerous since cyclists are confronted with traffic, other vehicles and road deformations. Always concerned with improving safety, bicycle helmets have very specific characteristics.

We have 2 technologies for manufacturing bicycle helmets: classic ABS construction and In-Mold construction. The ABS construction is a thermoplastic polymer renowned for its extreme resistance and for a great capacity to absorb shocks. The In-Mold construction of bicycle helmets results in both an ultra-light and particularly impact-resistant helmet.

The bicycle helmet is above all an essential protective accessory. Although the bicycle helmet is not compulsory for adults and those over 12 years old, it is nevertheless strongly recommended. Even if you ride with great care, you are not immune to possible falls. Admittedly, there are more and more facilities and cycle paths for cyclists, cycling in town or in an urban area can be dangerous since cyclists are confronted with road traffic, other cyclists and deformations of the pavement.

The main purpose of the helmet is to protect the head and absorb some of the shocks. We have two technologies for manufacturing bicycle helmets: ABS and In-Mold. The classic ABS construction is a thermoplastic polymer renowned for its extreme resistance and for a great capacity to absorb shocks. The In-Mold construction of bicycle helmets results in both an ultra-light and particularly impact-resistant helmet. Our helmets are based on these essential elements: safety, comfort, and style.

Interior cleaning is done by hand and with mild soapy water. Drying should be done in the open air and at room temperature. The shell can also be cleaned with warm soapy fresh water.

Caution: Do not use solvents and do not position the helmet in heat sources.

Size is an essential criterion for choosing a bicycle helmet. If it is too big or too small, the effectiveness of your helmet is reduced. Therefore, it is determined according to the circumference of the head. To take its measurement correctly, take a tape measure and place it at the widest part of the skull, about one centimeter above the brow bone and above the ears.

You will then know your helmet size:

XS: 48-52

S/M: 52-58

L/XL: 57-62

If you feel pressure, the helmet is too small. If, on the contrary, the helmet falls easily over the eyes, it is too big. If you are between two sizes then choose the larger size, our helmets are equipped with an adjustment wheel located at the back of the helmet, it allows precise micrometric adjustment of the size for optimal comfort and a perfect fit. In addition, thanks to M.B.S SYSTEM technology, the micro-buckle system ensures ultra-precise and at the same time soft adjustment of the chinstrap for a perfect fit and maximum safety.

Always very concerned with improving safety, bicycle helmets have very specific characteristics, as they must protect you from obstacles such as road traffic, other cyclists and road deformations. Helmets must meet the EN 1078 standard.

A bicycle helmet is made up of two parts: a hard outer shell and an inner liner. The X-country Mountain range, kids Ranger and the multistrada road range have In-Mold technology, which offers bicycle helmets a result that is both ultra-light and particularly impact-resistant. The City Color city range uses ABS technology, well known for its impact resistance.

We have two manufacturing technologies, ABS AND In-Mold.

Comfort criteria:

All our ranges of bikes offer interior foam for maximum comfort. The City Color city range is equipped with a panoramic visor to protect you from external aggressions or rain

A helmet intended for bicycles must comply with the European standard EN 1078. The helmet must fit snugly to the cyclist’s head according to his size and it must be able to perfectly cover the different parts of the head (the temples, the sides, the forehead, and the top especially in children).

In France, electric bikes are limited to 25 km/h, so there is no special standard.
